Since I can't do anything other than wait...

Hello to everyone on the blog! And may I also take this opportunity to wish all of you a very happy 2009.

Since I have nothing better to do while still waiting for the arrival of baby King, I thought it would be a goo idea to write something in the blog.

On Christmas eve, I received a letter from Malaysia. It felt like a Christmas card inside...So, who was so clever? So precise and confident, that the card will arrive just in time? It was my dad, again!! How did he do it? I don't know... Inside the card, there were a couple of photographs. One of the photographs which caught my eyes instantly, was a photographs of a group of secondary school boys posing for the camera - a group of very happy boys! The photograph was in black and white (someone did that on purpose), and if my memory serve me right, it was taken in Mimaland (not sure about the spelling). It doesn't have a date on it, I hope someone from the blog can remember this specific trip and able to tell us more about the trip...

How are you out there?
I wanted to post something for the past few weeks, but then, my laziness took over my well... Since I am in holiday now, there should not be any excuse to procrastinate for any longer.


King, I shared your excitement and nervous... tell you what, it will be a whole new journey, my best advised now is stock up as much as sleep if you can, you will need them especially during the first month after the baby arrived :-); kidding...



No worry buddy! I think you will do well when the time come, your nervous kind of prepare you for what will happen next... Just stay close and support you wife in any possible ways, she needs you a lot and she is about to bring you the best gift ever! Keep us posting for new update… Best of luck my friend!

Family time and Family time again

Ever since Amber is back to Calgary, I am in the so called typical family life... social activities are reduced drastically, no need to mention about the outdoor activities, it is ground zero ... everything I do these day is "Amber-centric"; it does not mean that I forgot all the friends, but many times when I finished the stuff I need to get done for Amber and around the house... the next thing I want to do is head straight to the bed ... if you don't have any family member staying with you, you will better understand what I just said.



Today, I spent a nice Christmas day at home with my twin sisters, one just moved in after her graduation, another one came straight from KL. The big snow we had few days ago is perfect for holiday season, even though they are still bitching about the cold ;)... Boxing week, it was used to be my crazy shopping season... but this year, I think I am cheap, no shopping plan, but I will spend time visiting friends catching up things with them, save some money and free meals at friend place...

7 days to go...

It's seven more days to the due date of 'King Junior'...I know I have been bragging about this too much, but...I am just too exited! Eight more days and I will have a gigantic responsibility on my shoulder, for the rest of my life. Any decisions I make from this day onwards, will at least affect three people...at least!

Disaster

Almost reach the end of 2008, everyone is preparing for new year resolution, celebrating year end seasons, or go for holidays, whereas the people live in Bukit Antarabangsa has one more thing to prepare, prepare to move...

I'm also the unlucky one, although not directly affected by the landslide, but still living in the same area, so now what, move, not move, continue to live there, who can give the certain answer whether the place is still safe to live???

Although this is not a good news, but I'm very appreciate that I got some consolation calls from my old friends, who has not seen for some time. Many thanks to them, and really feel warm about this.

Hope every bad things of mine will get rid as the year 2008 finished. Cheers!!

Four more weeks...

Hello guys, how's everyone?

I can't believe it, four more weeks and I am a dad!

Am I ready for the wife going into labour? I don't know...

Am I ready for the arrival of the baby? I don't know...

Am I ready to be a dad? I don't know...

There are so many 'I don't knows' at the moment... is it normal for all new mums and dads? I really hope so or else it will be even more frightening for me!

How did my dad and mum cope when they had me? Tried to throw the question at them but they didn't really gave me a direct answer...maybe it was easier back then, maybe they had family help or maybe, expectations back then wasn't that high. Nowadays, 'second best' is not an option.

Let me give you an example : From what I heard, milk powder are divided into grades : gold, silver and bronze! I don't know about you, but I would not like to be seen with a tin of 'bronze' graded milk powder in my hand, waiting to pay for it in a supermarket check out counter. Other dads and mums will stare at me, probably cursing me for feeding my child something 'second best'. I know it's wrong to be thinking like this but I think 10 out of 10 parents will have this kind of behaviour...or is it just me??

Still too much to worry about...
